Ust-Katav car-building plant (UKCP, part of the State Space Corporation "Roscosmos") has been declared the winner of the tender for the supply of 10 new single-section tram cars for Khabarovsk. The trams will be delivered to the city in various batches by October 31, 2024.

According to the contract concluded with the Khabarovsk administration, the tram cars must have at least a 40% low-floor area, four doors, accommodate passengers with limited mobility, and have a folding ramp for their accessibility. In line with the customer's requirements, the trams will be equipped with a passenger flow counting system, a media complex for passenger information, an information system, and a contactless fare payment system (validators).

During the tram ride, passengers will be able to fully appreciate its convenience, comfort, and modern features, including an air conditioning system with distributed air delivery throughout the cabin.
"We are pleased to renew our cooperation and manufacture new tram models 71-623-04 for Khabarovsk. UKCP 's partially low-floor trams are well-known in the market for their reliability and adaptability to any infrastructure, proven by many years of production and operational experience," said Roman Novikov, General Director of UKCP.

It is worth noting that the last delivery of UKCP cars to Khabarovsk occurred in 2016.
