The first open tram car for Tiflis (Tbilisi) City was made.
The beginning of the 20th
century
The manufacturing of the first Swiss Oerlikon closed tram car was mastered.
The year of 1925
The manufacturing of the first trams of X and M series designed in the USSR was mastered.
The year of 1960
A special engineering bureau for designing trams was founded at the factory. It developed about 20 tram car models.
The year of 1963
The car 71-605 (КТМ-5) was developed. It has been manufactured in the amount of almost 15 000 items due to which it holds the Guinness record.
The year of 1968
The UKCP factory increased its manufacturing capacity up to 750 trams a year, which was multi-fold bigger than the total capacity of all other tram factories in the USSR.
The year of 2006
The first Russian three-section tram car 71-630 was developed. It became the foundation for further Russian projects.
The year of 2009
The production of the single-section car model 71-623 was launched. The serial production of this model in new modifications continues today.
The year of 2012
The three-section tram car of model 71-631 was put into production
The year of 2016
The three-section tram car of the model 71-633 of 100% low floor was launched into series. The model was designed with the maximum possible set of options.
The year of 2021
The single-section car model 71-628 of 100% low floor level was launched
